Jody-
thanks again for the heads-up on the PBS telecast. I was only able to catch the end of S&D and Fire>NFA>Good Lovin, not to mention the acoustic/instrumental Heaven Help The Fool. Would have been nice to have gotten more of the Weir interview about that song, but I ain't complaining. Also Lemieux dangled some pretty cool carrots with mentions of upcoming video releases, including Egypt. Alas, though, we'll have to wait for those.

i've seen the 'home' movies kesey shot in egypt. a real highlight (besides the crew, family & band members frolicing about the ruins and tall, narrow streets) was seeing jerry pop out behind the white clad, semi-circle of nubian drummers lead by hamza (passed this year). having listened to 9-16-78' ollin arrageed so often, it was interesting (not disappointing) to see it go down. note: kesey's video wasn't from 9/16.

anyway, unless they had a another camera crew hidden about, i can't imagine egypt being released. the quailty of the footage was sub-par - one hand held camera positioned on the side of the stage. neat to sneak a peak though. i enjoyed what i saw far more than ssdd.

Lemieux said it was on the list of stuff they plan on putting out.
